Julio Chevalier MSC

15 de Marzo de 1824 - 7 de Octubre de 1907

If the Missionary of the Sacred Heart wants to make his work and words effective, he must imitate his divine model who, the Gospel tells us began by doing then by teaching. It is after having passed his life in the practice of all the virtues that Our Lord ay to us: "Happy the poor, happy those who suffer persecution in the cause of justice, happy the gentle etc."

People understand his language. The Missionary of the Sacred Heart must be the same.--1855

Prayer For the Beatification of Father Jules Chevalier, MSC

God our Father, we thank you that out of love for us, you gave us Jesus, your Son, for the salvation of the world. In a special way, we thank you for giving to your Church Father Jules Chevalier, so that he could provide a means of healing for the ills of his time.

Standing with Mary at the foot of the cross, he wished to make known and loved everywhere the merciful love of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

We ask you, Lord, that Jules Chevalier be proposed to the Church of today as an example of Jesus’ love for us. May he be an intercessor with you on our behalf as we strive to make your justice, your peace and your love known everywhere. Amen.

Amen.

Prayer of Consecration to the Heart of Jesus + Consagración al Sagrado Corazón

Lord Jesus, we praise you and celebrate the love of your Heart. We honor you, we glorify you. We are grateful for your help this day. We offer our thanks; we consecrate and give our hearts to you. Take them, hold them fast and make them your own forever. Fill them with your life. Let us follow all the ways your mark for us. Jesus, merciful Savior, may your love be known everywhere.

May all people know the goodness of God. And God's wonderful kindess toward them.

Lord Jesus, with renewed kindness you enrich your Church with the boundless gifts of your Heart. Help us to respond to such love, to serve you truly in our lives, and to live as reflections of yourself--holy and blameless--so that others may come to the fullness of Christan life. Amen.

Amen.

Prayer to Our Lady of The Sacred Heart + Oració A Nuestra Señora Del Sagrado Corazón

REMEMBER, Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, the great things the Lord has done for you. He chose you for his Mother. He wanted you close to his cross. He gives you a share in his glory. He listens to your prayer. Offer him our prayers of praise and thanksgiving; present our petitions to him. Let us live like you, in the love of your Son that his Kingdom may come. Lead all people to the source of living water that flows from his Heart, spreading over the world hope and salvation, justice and peace. See our trust in you; answer our prayer. Show yourself always our Mother. Amen.

Loving God, you have enriched the Church with the spirit of our Founder, Jules Chevalier. For many years men and women have responded to serve the Church with their whole lives as Brothers, Priests and Sisters, inspiried by the love of Jesus and His unconditional love for each person.

Please give men and women the vision of the prophet, the courage of the martyr, a love like Mary's for your Son, and the grace today to respond to Your call. Give courage to their parents and families to encourage them to serve you in the Consecrated Life.

Once again, fill the Chevalier family with young men and women to be Brothers, Priests and Sisters in the world. We pray this in Jesus' name. Amen.

Amen.

Jules Chevalier Speaks - Habla Julio Chevalier

"It is not only inside a religious house that privileged graces come into being. They are found too in the world. THE SPIRIT BLOWS WHERE HE WILL. The power of the Sacred Heart shines forth in proportion to the difficulties that it meets."

Constituciones MSC, 12
